Flip a Coin

License : CC0
The origins of Flip a Coin date back to Ancient Rome, where it was called “navia aut caput,” meaning ship and head. Roman coins had a ship on one side and the Emperor’s head on the other, making it a popular method for dispute resolution. During the Middle Ages, the English referred to Flip a Coin as “cross and pile,” named after the cross side of the coin. This technique gained widespread use in contests and settling disagreements. Today, Flip a Coin remains a simple yet effective way to make fair decisions.
